Cyber Security

When using any online services, you are exposed to the dangers caused by the activities of cyber criminals. To reduce the risk of your computer being infected or losing personal, financial or access data (e.g., bank accounts), follow at least the following rules:

  1. Do not use any network services (logging, banking, social networking, etc.) on publicly accessible networks (e.g., free Wi-Fi networks). Such networks can track your every move and transmitted data to websites.
  2. Install and use antivirus software on devices with Internet access.
  3. Don't ever remember passwords for your accounts on network services (mail, banking, forums, social networks).
  4. Use difficult passwords for your accounts - hackers have millions of standard passwords
and use them every day by bots (automated programs) that try to log in to different user accounts on different services.
  5. Remember that the administrators of the various services will never need your password! Never give it to third parties.
  6. Do not open suspicious e-mails. Be especially careful with attachments. Recently, a very popular way to install a virus is to send an Invoice in PDF. It is best to use a mail service that will check for viruses before delivering the message to you.
  7. Be especially careful when receiving an email or SMS message asking
you to click on a link or send back an SMS. It may be an attempt to scam, defraud you of your payment or data, or infect your device.
  8. When filling out any forms on websites, make sure the connection is encrypted. You can check this in the address bar - the url should start with https:// and there should be an indication that the connection is secure. The highest level of security is provided by EV certificates held by online services, that is, those that show the name of the responsible party before the address and/or are marked in green in the browser.
  9. Pay attention to the messages that appear when downloading applications, music, games or other works to cell phones, smartphones or computers. You can learn from them what your data the downloaded service is requesting access to. Be careful what you agree to.
  10. Download software only from the sites of the manufacturers of that software. Free services offering to download software from their sites often use their own installers, which also install additional unwanted software.
  11. Do not install CRACKs for paid software - firstly, this is a crime and piracy, secondly and most importantly, most CRACKs are BACKDOORS that will allow a Hacker to control your device when he needs to.
  12. When in doubt about how to proceed in a given situation, it is best to cancel the execution of the action.
